AutoGuideCover runs a free website that explains car insurance in plain language and, if you ask, passes your request to insurance providers and partners who may be able to offer you coverage. Our business address is 4820 Westpark Drive, Suite 210, Columbus, OH 43228.
Not an insurer or agent
AutoGuideCover is not an insurance company, agency, agent, broker or producer. We do not:
- sell, solicit, negotiate or recommend specific insurance policies or companies;
- issue policies, bind coverage or collect premiums;
- give quotes, decide who qualifies or set prices;
- handle or decide claims; or
- charge you anything to use our website.
Because we do not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, AutoGuideCover does not hold an insurance producer license. Insurance is offered only by companies, agents and brokers licensed in the states where they do business.
Checking a license
You can look up whether an agent or company is licensed through your state department of insurance or the National Insurance Producer Registry at nipr.com. Consumer information and complaint tools are available from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners at content.naic.org. Ohio residents may also contact the Ohio Department of Insurance.
How we are paid
AutoGuideCover earns money from insurance companies, agents, brokers and marketing partners. We may be paid when you submit a request, when your request is delivered to a partner, when a call is connected, or when you take another action. This compensation:
- is how we keep the service free for you;
- may influence which partners receive your request and the order in which they reach out; and
- does not change the premium any insurer charges you.
Our network does not include every insurer or every product on the market.
About prices and savings
- Any savings or discounts discussed on our site are examples, not promises, and may not apply to you.
- Your actual premium depends on factors such as your location, driving history, vehicle, age, coverage choices, insurance history and, where permitted, credit-based insurance score.
- A quote is not final until the insurer completes underwriting and issues a policy.
- All coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of the actual policy.
